WORKSHOP GOAL:
For each woman to learn what is normal for her and to report any changes to her healthcare provider.
This innovative, multisensory MammaCare Breast Self-Exam Workshop provides meaningful breast self-awareness for the women of your organization, company, church or group by teaching fingers what to feel for during breast-self exam and eyes what to look for during a visual inspection.
The Standard for Breast Self-Exam
Attendees learn The 5Ps of the MammaCare Method of Breast Examination:
Palpation
Pressures
Pattern
Perimeter
Positions
Hands-On Guided Instruction
Guided by a MammaCare Master Trainer, attendees learn to palpate using See-What-You-Feel Breast Models containing life-like tissues and tumors.
Training: 60 mins | Q&A: 15 mins
Note: Undressing is not required.

Katie Brunner, MPH, Master Trainer
Katie is MammaCare's Director of Training and has worked with the MammaCare Foundation for 15 years. She earned a Master's Degree in Public Health from the University of Florida and is a MammaCare Master Trainer.
